    Harvey Beckett, the owner of her own bookstore in the small town of St. Marin’s, has an unerring ability to stumble into murder cases. Like other fun cozy mysteries, the murder victim is unlikeable and murdered off the page, and Harvey solves the case by just going about her business and talking to everyone in the town. Harvey is a friendly and relatable character, and her relationships with other St. Marin’s residents are evolving as the series continues.

      2nd time listening, some strangenesses became noticeable: women being called usual men's names, Harvey's friends and family moving to 'Harveyville' and how righteous Harvey is - close to 'perfect' and so excitingly how the author slides in racism that standout because has nothing to do with the storyline - like people in this 'wonderful' place notice that she is growing flowers in her home garden Redskins football team colours.

      This is a really enjoyable cozy mystery series, with a wonderful group of people at it’s heart.
