About this audiobook

The promise of old printer’s trays has her heart aflutter, but it nearly stops when she finds a body at the bottom of the elevator shaft.

When salvage expert and historian Paisley Sutton heard that a 19th century printing press was still in the old warehouse that was scheduled for demolition, she knew she had to get in there. But when her dreams of a salvage windfall lead her on the genealogical hunt for the owners of the press and their descendants, she uncovers a story that promises to stay with her far longer than the income from her salvage operations.

When the story becomes public, will Paisley’s business be safe? Will she?

Editor's Note

The author's main character Paisley is a pious, self centred woman who sees the world with rose coloured glasses. Couldn't get into this manipulation to solve murders that are not her place to solve.

It was okay, a little slow and predictable. All her excitement only comes at the end of the story and it’s not very long.

This book pushes a very liberal and anti religious agenda. Way too political to be an enjoyable novel. I'm not sure I'll continue reading her books.

I'm really tired of this author's sanctimony. I didn't finish this book

Why is race, trans, gay love, anything 'in your face' in every TV show movie, book or song? Stopped reading at discovery of 'undergarments'

Love a cozy mystery. I enjoy reading about a mostly strong woman with a different type of job as the lead.

I would give it a - star if possible….I enjoyed the first two books, but the main character was so entitled, made so many presumptions, and felt she was the judge and jury of all. By far this was the worst book of the series so far!

Unfortunately, a good story was cheapened by an agenda. I hope the next in the series is not.
