Description

Happy Satiated Saturday!Wooohooo! It is 2021. Happy New Year to you. I'm excited to see what this new year brings forth for all of us. Yesterday, it felt like a blast of social media posts from those in the anti-diet, health at every size, and body positivity movements screaming, "please do not go on a diet!" We're now at that time of year where we're bombarded with commercials and social media posts about changing your body, losing weight, getting in shape and "fixing" yourself. Some of the marketing you may see will be very savvy. You might even start to think, "maybe I do need to change myself." So what does it take to shift our relationship with our body? To drown out the messages you will see at this time of year? To finally feel the body peace and acceptance you have perhaps been desiring to feel? In this week’s episode, we will discuss what body image grieving is and why it is so important to start to appreciate the body you have now. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here. I've gone through this process and understand how intense body image grieving can be. Please know you're not alone on this path and reach out anytime if you're ever looking for more support. With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxPS: This past year was the year the Satiated Podcast was birthed.
