Description

Happy Satiated Saturday! How long have you judged your body? 5? 10? 15? 20 years? More?I get it. It can take a really long time to step into body acceptance. We are in the act of healing body image as a culture. Think of how long you have received messages around how you're "supposed" to look? Think of how long you have been reading articles and magazines and emails telling you what you need to do to lose weight or love your body? A focus on your body image is so much bigger than yourself. To heal this cultural wound, this process ultimately starts within ourselves. As we heal our relationship with our bodies, we can become role models for others that they too can have a different more accepting relationship with their body as well. But, what does this process look like? What does it take to step into body acceptance? For myself, there was never this beautiful explosive moment in the process of healing my relationship with my body like you see in the movies of exclaiming, "I love myself! I really really love myself." This hype of what being in our body is "supposed" to be like is actually getting in the way of healing any wounds you may have around your body image. In this week’s episode, I explore how you actually don't need to love your body shape first to heal your body image. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here. It can take time to heal a broken relationship with the body. Be gentle with yourself and trust you're always exactly where you're meant to be, learning what you're meant to be learning. With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxSpecial thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: support@stephaniemara.comSupport the show:Become a supporter of the show here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportCheck out my favorite water filter: https://www.pureeffectfilters.com/#a_aid=somaticeatingCheck out my favorite protein powder and receive 15% off when you use the code STEPHANIEMARA at checkout here: https://www.equipfoods.com/discount/STEPHANIEMARA?rfsn=7433250.c99684Use my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPl Special thanks to Bendsoun...
