Description
"Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God." (3 John 1:11)In John's third letter to the church, he reminds us of who God is and calls us to imitate Him, His action, and His character. Once we have beheld God, fixed our eyes on Him, and yielded to Him as Lord, our whole lives are transformed. He changes us, He gives us new hearts, we find ourselves moving toward new desires. We have a peace that somehow stands even in the midst of trials and chaos. Everything is new and because Jesus triumphed over sin and death, we are no longer bound to our sin. We can actually do good, not evil. Before we knew Him, we were slaves to sin, but now we're slaves to righteousness. Today, walk in your freedom over sin, imitate God and His goodness. He's where the joy is!
