Description
"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction." (2 Timothy 4:1-2)Have you ever had a mentor? Here Paul is challenging his mentee, Timothy, to preach God's word at all times and be prepared to patiently guide, correct, and encourage people. The patience is the hard part, right? But do you know how Timothy could access that patience? By remembering the way God has dealt with him, he can tap into God's kindness to him as he deals with others. In the verses immediately before these, Paul says God teaches, reproves, and corrects us too. Lean into His direction and kindness as you deal with others today. He's where the joy is!
