Description
"May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)Have you ever felt disappointed in yourself? Are you still so far from being who you hoped you'd be? Did you know that God isn't disappointed in you? He has no unmet expectations of you. You're exactly where He knew you would be right at this moment. Sin and all that struggle you can't seem to overcome. He's with you in it and He is the one who is actively working in you to conform you to the image of His Son. You're not the one sanctifying yourself. You're not the one keeping yourself blameless. That's Him! He does the doing and He promises to finish what He has started in you. What He initiates, He will sustain and He will fulfill. So take heart! He saved you and He's keeping you forever. He's where the joy is!
