Description

"Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith." (Galatians 3:8-9)All throughout the Old Testament, God kept dropping hints and promises that He was going to send a Messiah to the Jews who would also be a bridge to reach the non-Jews who are collectively referred to as Gentiles. Here in this letter to the churches in Galicia, Paul references this by quoting one of God's promises from the Old Testament to prove that this has been God's plan all along. This is not new. God's message of restoration and hope came through the Jews, but it was for all the nations, not just the nation of Israel. Our great God stepped over the dividing line to rescue His enemies into His family. He's where the joy is!
