Description

The plaintiff says she and the defendant went to a ’70s party in Atlantic City and they were supposed to share a suite. She claims the defendant threw her out in the middle of the night, so she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff got to the room and said it smelled and she didn’t want to stay there. She denies owing a thing.
Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to fix her fridge, which was freezing over. She says he didn’t repair a thing and he charged her an arm and a leg. She’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says he told the plaintiff she needed a new part that would take six weeks because of COVID, and she freaked and demanded a refund. He alleges her family also threatened him.

"The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions – based on current law – are final and binding. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.
