Description
"It's great to be in a supportive group because there are so many questions that you need the answers to when you start." The popularity of vegan and plant-based lifestyles has EXPLODED in the UK over the last few years. Laura, a colleague of mine, wanted to make the transition, but she didn't have anyone in her social or familial circle to help her. That's where Veganuary came into the picture. Veganuary is a non-profit organization that encourages people worldwide to try vegan for January and beyond. During the 2021 campaign, more than 500,000 people took their pledge to try a vegan diet. Throughout the year, Veganuary encourages and supports people and businesses alike to move to a plant-based diet as a way of protecting the environment, preventing animal suffering, and improving the health of millions of people. If you find yourself to be the only one in your circle interested in this way of living it can feel isolating, lonely and overwhelming. Laura and I discuss the importance of finding a community in order to be successful. Congrats to us for our 20th Episode!
