Even when criticizing someone's running style, the words used are so important.   [01:48] Coach Valerie favors the term "fall" over the word "lean" when discussing specific issues on their podcast. They do not use the term "lean" because that suggests a sense of bending from the waist and moving my upper body and shoulders ahead of my hips.   [02:34] During one of their live sessions in their membership, Coach Valerie often coats words or experiences that, to some people, might be a struggle or a challenge. She avoids using terms that might elicit a negative emotion or outcome.   Speaking Positively [03:09] Examine not only your ideas but also the words you speak. Consider the words you use to express what you consider to be inadequacies. And begin talking to yourself using terms that have a more positive connotation.
