Now, About That Confidence - Karun Kris
Introduction: Confidence in our lives
CONFIDENCE IS A CHEAT code in life. When I make that statement, some people call it an exaggeration. Some people say it’s too harsh to make such claims. Yet, I still think this is true.
Based on everything I’ve observed around me, my assertion seems sound. Confident people outperform the rest time and time again. Confident people gain more respect. Confident people have powerful friends. Confident people have stronger and trustworthy relationships. All this and plenty more.
Confidence is something that will help better each and every aspect of your life. It is something that will make you feel good about yourself. It allows you to make others feel good about themselves. It encourages you to open up and express your true desires. It helps you dream big and take massive action. It helps you stand for yourself and for the ones you love.
From birth, you are blessed with confidence. If lucky, your circumstances and environment helped blossom that confidence. The negative emotions associated with that event ensured that you never did it again.
For the vast majority, one event punched you in the mouth. You either dusted yourself up or is still wailing on the floor. If you are in the former, kudos to you; else you need to change your situation.
Let’s take this moment to analyse the latter situation. For this purpose, consider a kid in his early teens, who is about to give a speech in front of his school. He prepared as best as he could, memorising every line and practising every gesture. He walked up onstage to receive an applause from the audience. Taking a couple of deep breaths, he began.
The speech went fine, until he forgot a line in the middle. He started panicking. He tried remembering hard. He looked at the audience. They were dead silent, staring
