About this ebook

Have you ever been afraid to make a decision? I know I have. We are all faced with big decisions in our life. Sometimes we let what we can’t do interfere with what we can do. We shouldn’t make decisions based off fear. I teach students and young adults how to make decisions while feeling peace and freedom at the same time. There is more to life than just striving and trying to survive. We can thrive during the chaos of life. We can make good decisions while finding hope in the uncertainty that can follow with making decisions. What if it doesn’t work out? What happens if I made the wrong decision? Will people be disappointed in me or my decision? Great questions that are hard to answer. They are however ones we need to take head on if we are going to live a life uncommon now and live a fruitful life. While there aren’t always perfect answers to hard questions there can always be freedom despite circumstances.

DAVID SCHAUB

Dave currently lives in his hometown of Buffalo, NY, and he has a classic rags to riches tale: he was raised by a single mom in a poor family, got in a lot of trouble, and ended up in jail; but then he worked his way through a multimillion dollar international marketing company until he became his own boss. He ran the “Leadership Academy” for college students through his company for five years in Buffalo NY. He then left the company and started a franchise for a publishing company while pursuing his passion for speaking. This was all done before the age of 27. David wanted to impact more than the city of Buffalo and now speaks nationally across the United States. He has written two books called "Never Complete." and "How To Feel Empowered When You Are Overwhelmed"

How To Feel Empowered When You Are Overwhelmed - DAVID SCHAUB

    Introduction

I’M GOING TO BE UPFRONT. This isn’t a typical self-help book where you are offered the seven keys to feeling better or a manual on how to change your attitude. In this book, I want to go beyond that... Between you and me, I have read hundreds and I mean hundreds of self-help books. Anywhere from leadership, to entrepreneurship, to having great relationships, to spiritual enrichment, to emotional intelligence, to financial, and just how to live a happier and more enjoyable life. All great stuff. A lot of what I learned, lead me to where I am now. But, it only took me so far. Why is that? We read books that give us a lot of great information an

d also great strategies. But, why do so many us still feel overwhelmed? It is because we are missing a big part of why we feel the way we do. We aren’t addressing what is really going on deep down inside of us. We are not addressing our heart, we are ignoring our heart. We are treating the weeds but not getting to the roots. In this life, it is critical that we take time to understand the roots of our feelings. Now, many people do not want to take the time for that, especially men. In today’s world, it isnot very manly to address feelings. Many men will say they do not have time for feelings or even deny knowing what they are. That is understandable, I can be that way too. However, addressing feelings builds stronger men, stronger women, stronger relationships, and ultimately, a life lived freely.Ignoring our feelings or bad situations, won’t  make them go away. Ignoring is not a solution. They might go away or feel alleviated after taking a breather, but that doesn’t mean they’re gone. It is like putting a piece of wood over a pothole in a road and calling it fixed. It’s not fixed. In a similar way, if we don’t deal with our emotions or difficult situations head on they will fester and later blow up in our face. Often, this combustion occurs at the most inconvenient of times.

So, if repressing feelings will only mask our problems, and not truly offer a solution, then why are we so prone to repressing? Have we not been taught that facing feelings can lead to growth and empowerment? Have we not been told that facing feelings can make us stronger? Maybe our feelings or situations are telling us something? We aren’t often told that. Personally, I was never told that. Not unless you count Everything happens for a reason. In my opinion, that is not a very good answer. That phrase never made me feel better when I was
