Even Wrong Can Be Right - Karun Kris
I don’t care what anyone thinks of me
Iwas texting a friend . We were talking about all sorts of random things. My friend, to be honest with you, is a very fun person to talk to. Probably one of the most fun person I’ve ever texted with. But I haven’t told her this cause I don’t want her to know that. Instead, I often tell her that her jokes are lame (which are sometimes kinda lame although she strongly disagrees with me), and that she is stupid, and so on. It’s fun, and she takes it in good spirit.
One time, she was complaining about something (complaining being one of her strengths), and this line of conversation slowly led to people and their opinions. She said that she didn’t give a shit about other people’s opinion of her. They can say whatever the hell they want to say about me. I don’t care
is what she said to which I replied with Good
.
It’s good that she thought way. Cause caring too much about everyone’s opinion will only lead to misery. Everyone wants and expects different things from you. If you try to alter your dreams and actions to better fit their desires, who’s going to focus on what you truly want?
Everyone wants and expects different things from you.
This line of thinking makes sense and can be justified. Yet for some reason I couldn’t accept it as a whole. There was something more to this. I told my friend, It’s good that you think that way. But it’s not always like that. You gotta understand context
Not everyone is against you. Not everyone is hating on you. Some people
