- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lots of very good information. Was not aware of what the purpose of the vagus nerve was prior to this book. I do now...
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book on the vagus comes from a good place. Overall, many of the actions recommended seem of general health benefit rather than specific to the vagus. But that's hardly a negative. For the author, everything affects the vagus. And he does explain how the 2-way gut brain connection is central and how it is that uncovering the connection between even seemingly unrelated matters may be key to resolving chronic health issues. Chapter 9 is where he provides a series of exercises (mostly related to breathing, but some involve movement of the spine) that are fairly straightforward to carry out and need just a few minutes daily. Number 3 was a bit difficult to follow based on the description, but that's probably just me.
A further bit of editing would have been useful and some terms are mispronounced but this is a self-help book so that's being harsh.
