About this audiobook

I belong to no one. It’s the way I’ve chosen to live. Master of my own destiny, finding my way through this bullshit thing called life.

I learned from a young age how to get my way. Being a woman isn’t a weakness. It’s the opposite. I’ve spent my life being surrounded by four overbearing brothers, but I’ve never been a wallflower.

Independent and unwilling to be tied down, I grabbed life by the balls and lived it to the fullest. I was enjoying myself, minding my own business at my brothers wedding. Then WHAM. Ever have a man walk into your life and alter your entire universe?

My answer would’ve been no before he tempted me into his bed. I’m talking about the big damn bang. Everything that I thought was right, suddenly spins on its axis and slaps me in the face.

Resisting can be enjoyed before the series, as a standalone, or as a series starter. If you're a purist and require listening to audiobooks in order, listen to Resisting between Hook Me and Resist Me.

Way back when erotica was being whispered about, I was reading and writing it. It took a long time for my stuff even be touched by a publisher, but finally it was. I wondered what about it made them shy away. (I was probably too raw) and there are so many writers that probably do it so much better than I, and Chelle Bliss is one of them.
I completely identity with Izzy Gallo in the fact that she likes to be in charge, she likes the game and the challenge because up until she met James it always worked for her—she ALWAYS won. I appreciate and identify with Izzy Gallo as I too had overprotective brothers which led me to believe I could do anything I wanted because everybody feared them.

RESISTING has the quality of sensuous tones that build to the crescendo of evoking high desire.

I like the fact that James recognized Izzy for what she was and that while he wanted her, he had to have her on his own terms, and being able to admit to himself that the woman could have his balls in a knot if he’d let her. But therein lies that game, the sport, the challenge to reach the level of passion and finally the love they both won’t admit—even to themselves until the game is over.

I enjoyed this novella with the two (2) points of view, and how each recognized the part of their romantic desires that they felt they didn’t want to unleash, after all everybody holds back a little don’t they? For John and Izzy passion and sex was easy, but emotion and love is another thing altogether.
This is how erotica should be written.

Major cliffhanger. Not sure I care about it enough to risk continuing cliffhangers.

I really enjoy being in Izzy's head. I love how headstrong she is and how she keeps up with her brothers, she lets no one mess her around and she lets everyone know where she stands. Izzy meets her match with James and this short teaser into what is to come of their relationship has me all excited to read more. James doesn't make Izzy feel like being a woman is a weakness, if anything he lets her have the floor and supports her every which way. James is a modern-day alpha and I love it.

I loved the push, pull....am drawn in to the back story here. I have been looking for the romance/sex mixed with some more drama, even a bit of a mystery. This seems to be the direction Izzy is headed with her entanglements.

Lance has the sexiest voice I've ever heard.
The story goes to shit when you have bad narrators. Lance is my favorite.

I couldn't stand the main character. She was written as a male personality/libido in a woman's body and came off as cheap and trashy instead of strong and independent. I was halfway into the second chapter and I was so repulsed by her I couldn't imagine torturing myself through the rest of her story.

Not every woman thinks having a stripper at a Bachelorette party is part of, "how to have fun". The way she described her arrangement with "Flash" turned me completely off. I also don't go around punching guys in their junk for calling me "Baby" and I don't know a single woman who does.

For less than three hours, this short story did a lot. I liked that the main character was not forced to change to be with the snoring, boof-headed friend.

Wouldve been great if Error #205 didn't stop me from hearing the last 2 chapters
