The least interesting of the series. The best part was the epilogue because an update about the others. Read it just to complete the series but not mandatory.

This series never seems to disappoint! The story timeline matches up . No confusion w/ all the cross over of the siblings. Easy to follow. Can’t wait to read more about their kids and the continuation of the gallows kids???

Of the series, so far, this has been my least favorite. I had to force myself to finish this book. Max was so annoying in this book. I love all of the previous books. I was glad that the last chapter gave a peek to the future.

So close to being a great read. But at some point enough is enough. Maxine's refusal to divulge her reasons for denying them a chance just got to be way too much and went on far too long. The lying and the cruelty was over the top to the point where I had lost respect for both of them by the time it came to a head. Then we have the redundant figures of speech. I think I heard "shell of my former self" at least five times in this book and it's not even a phrase one speaks regularly to anybody.

The sex scenes were decent but just too much angst only to jam-pack the good stuff in the final few chapters. I'm looking for more balance in my books and realistic, believable heroes and heroines but not with quite so much stuck on stupid.

The storyline was so good but the rambling on racism, in the sense of reverse racism, which does not exist. Sad really.
