(Austin & Mak): TRIGGERS: deployment. So not my favorite of CB's books but it is good. Mak is in the Navy and she meets Austin one night at a bar. They go on several dates but have to keep it secret because he is one of her superior officers. They have amazing chemistry and their scenes are hot. What I loved was the little nugget that Austin is connected to the Gallo's from the "Men of Inked" & "Men of Inked: Heatwave" series. In fact, Austin is the little brother to Pike from "Flame". I absolutely love when books over multiple series begin to connect. This is an insta romance but there's also a small time jump. I love that CB always makes you think that maybe there won't be an HEA but then switches it up.
