About this audiobook

You know that it’s important to save money — but if you’re like most of us, you might have a tough time saving as much as you need to be comfortable with an emergency or rainy day. There are several reasons why we struggle with saving money, but the bottom line is that, while it’s hard to overcome the psychological blocks of saving, it’s in our best interest to find a way to do it.
Zack Kahn, the co-founder and head course instructor at CompoundConfidence.com, is here to help. His Scribd Coach audio course The Cost of Money focuses on balance as a budgeting strategy rather than saving as much as humanly possible. In the course, Kahn explains how to set up an immediate and long-term budget and how you can adjust your spending to achieve optimal balance and improve your financial health. He also shares exercises along the way so you can get started putting your budget together immediately.
Budgeting doesn’t have to be a chore — Zack Kahn’s balanced budgeting system makes it accessible to boost your savings more than you thought possible.

This was a really great program and tool to use to understand budgeting and creating a budget plan. I suggest taking more time out of your day to sit and do all the exercises he suggests. It was absolutely mind-boggling realizing how much control I didn’t have over my finances even when I thought I did. I think I’m going to do a lot better in getting my finances in order. I already feel more financially responsible. For an update: he talks about an app you can get to help budget your expenses automatically called “Mint”. The app has transitioned over to credit karma so the mint app is no longer usable. The credit karma app is really good but it doesn’t have a feature to create and follow a budget plan. Hope this helps!
