Description
+++ YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR ME +++
Have you ever been in a situation where someone makes a statement and makes it seem like you are in agreement with them?
They'll use the plural "we" rather than I.
For example, they might say, "We all think" or "we believe" or "we don't agree with ..." and so on.
When that happens, what do you do?
Sometimes you kind of go along to not embarrass them. I've done that.
And it also all depends on who is making that statement. Right?
You won't correct them, especially in public if it is someone who has power over you.
When my dad was alive, I dare not say anything.
These situations can be awkward.
But what do you do when your boss or owner of the company at which you work makes public statements on sensitive issues with which you disagree?
Let's take this one step further. Should they be doing that?
You may say, "Well, it's their company or they are the boss, so they can do whatever they want to do."
And you are right, but is it a good move on their part?
In this episode, our guest - Kristen Ruby - will take this topic on head-on and share with you some thoughts that you may agree with. I can tell you this, it helped me put in words some of my own thoughts on the matter.
