In the past, I've often said: "I'm not a salesperson."
And the reason I so quickly utter those words is simply not to be likened to that "sleazy" salesperson. You know that kind, don't you? Me too!
My association with sales is that of being pressured. I'm not comfortable with that.
Thankfully I've had a makeover of my thoughts on what sales and selling is all about.
Every day, each one of us is selling something: an idea, our truth, our story, our excuse, etc. We want to convince someone of something.
That is sales in a nutshell.
