You Deserve Love - Mona M. Hanna

    I’m Strong

    I’m strong.

    I’m normal.

    I’m like everyone else.

I’m not absurd or insane or broken.

I don’t stand out as being different, more crazy than others, worse than others.

I feel how I feel, act how I act, am how I am, for good, valid reasons.

    I’m not a freak.

It’s all explainable, can be understood; my problems have a cause and a reason, and there’s help. I can get better. Always.

I have a gift — a gift not everyone has.

    I’m normal.

    I’m normal.

    Life Is What It Is

    Life is what it is.

    It’s more good than bad.

You don’t have to understand life all the time.

But you just keep going. It is more good than bad. It is worth living. It is worth trying.

And there are cats. If all else fails, be with a cat.

    It’s Not My Fault

    It’s not my fault.

    It’s not my fault.

    None of it.

I’ve done what I could with what I had.

    I’m actually good.

    And lovely.

    And nice.

    And bright.

    And kind.

    And deep.

All because I am. It’s not based on what I do. I just am these things. It’s not about what I do, how much I’ve done. I’m just okay. I live in a world where there’s
