    Second chance, single mother romance

Another small town hit from Natasha. I enjoyed Hazel and Reed, they had a spicy second-chance romance but second chances are never my favourite trope. Natasha did do it well with how Hazel and Reed reconnected.

Hazel is back in town as her grandad has passed away and Reed has been sent back from being in service. Reed never knew about the little girl he left behind 6 years ago but when he finds out he promises to never leave her again and he makes it his mission to make Hazel part of that promise as well. I love how all the families that have been created in this series all come together to get this house that Hazel has inherited back on course. Seeing a little girl grow up in this family when she didn't really have any was very cute.

It's a slow burn and there is minimal spice compared to the other books in the series but Reed definitely tries his best to woo Hazel and get her to trust him again.

Tje story is entertaining but the voices narrating it are a bit annoying
