Southern chance to southern comfort to southern storm may be one of the best audio series I’ve found on scribd. Southern storm was the perfect ending. I didn’t want to turn any of the books off. I’d recommend reading these in order. It made this book both sweeter and funnier. Hope to find more by Natasha Madison. Great author!

H is a coward. Afraid to tell h how he really feels. Furthermore, their first sexual encounter he basically SAs her. She’s too drunk to consent, but he goes along with it anyway. He’s sober, she’s very intoxicated. Gave me the icks. Didn’t listen much longer after that.

This may be the only time it’s not better to read the series in order. Had Savanna not been so unlikable in prior books this would be a 5 star. It took a good chunk of this story to have any empathy to her.
If you can start this with fresh eyes, Savanna is a girl whose paid for her mistakes in spades and deserves. Beau well he’s just everything a girl dreams of; honorable, faithful and respectful - he loves Savanna whole heartedly regardless of what comes their way. If only they would wake up and give each other a chance.

The narrators voices were distracting the way the characters were switching back and forth. The female narrator's voice during the Beau scenes was abrasive and sounded like a 2 pack a day smoker. I still don't care much for Savannah.

There are so many tropes in this one; marriage of convenience, single parent, childhood friends, friends to lovers and small town.

I've probably missed some but Natasha wanted to hit them all for Savannah and Beau.

Savannah and Beau get thrown straight in with the drama, it's TV worthy with what mix-up happens from the start and gets dragged up at the end. Savannah and Beau have a lot to work through but they never started with the aim of the end goal to be with them together. That was just a plus.

I really loved the power play Southern Storm with Beau being the Mayor and using his pull to help Savannah whenever he could but wow! Savannah has no luck. Every time Beau had his POV without Savannah in the picture, guarantee he would get some news that she was in an accident or something had happened to her property. Unfortunately, it started to become predictable.

Southern Storm is book three in the Southern series. Beautiful story of love and forgiveness…although the H and h struggle with significant difficulties, I didn’t find it written in an overly angsty approach…more sweet with a little steamy. The series is written in such a way that the characters and storyline from book one are integral to the stories in each subsequent book…I highly recommend you read all of Madison’s series in order. Haven’t read a Madison title I didn’t love…this is my 3rd series, and each has been meticulously crafted!!! Strong narration is the icing on the cake! Can’t wait to read the remaining stories in the Southern series!

It’s a nice story. It’s my first from the series. Decided to skip the first 2 books :) which is ok but I guess the character and love development will be seen from the first two series. But I think this can be enough as a stand alone :)
