About this audiobook
There is no greater pleasure than providing absolute solace.
For Handmaiden Tranquilla Caden, each new assignment brings the chance at leading one more patron into solace.
For Gabriel Delessan, the services of a Handmaiden are a luxury he can afford—but not one he truly believes he deserves.
When a sense of duty becomes something more intimate for both of them, Tranquilla must convince Gabriel to accept what she can offer him – solace, yes. But more than that…love.
Five Principles of the Order of Solace
There is no greater pleasure than providing absolute solace.
True patience is its own reward.
A flower is made more beautiful by its thorns.
Selfish is the heart that thinks first of itself.
Women we begin and women we shall end.
Editor's Note
Gloriously Erotic...
Megan Hart’s gloriously erotic fantasy series, “The Order of Solace,” continues in “No Greater Pleasure,” where a handmaiden gets an assignment to a man who doesn’t believe he deserves solace, much less love. It’s the handmaiden’s task to get him to accept solace through their sexual connection, which leads to eventual peace. But neither of them is prepared for their emotional connection.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It is sorta a romance, but more drama, infidelity and abuse more than romance. Talk about role reversal in the end.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5i found some of the plot/characters interesting but i cannot get past the male love interest’s personality flaws, the story was interesting but not nearly as romantic as a romance novel outta be in my opinion. only getting 3 stars bc the writer did a good job on the story the guy was just a d*ck
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Megan Hart is a great writer, so great in fact that I didn't even notice 200 pages fly by before the first kiss. I'm used to more erotic stuff from Ms. Hart, but the fist sexual encounter comes pretty close to the end of the book. Learning about the charactures and watching them grow closer was very engrossing. Very enjoyable book.

Book Source: Scribd - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A wonderful romance story! Held my interest the entire time. It is a creative story with lots of twists and turns! No Cliffhanger and HEA ?
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Glorifies and romanticizes the cycle of abuse in intimate partner relationships. I’m not talking about the pre-existing abusive relationship either, but the main romance. Steer clear of this one.
Spoilers below
The love interest is physically and emotionally abusive, which is pointed out to her multiple times by a friend but the protagonist ignores it because he acts sweet later and a “it’s just how he is” mentality. Despite shoving her so hard she falls down multiple times during arguments, making her feel worthless and like he doesn’t care for her (the hot cold cycle you know well if you have ever had an emotionally abusive partner) and even witnessing him hitting another partner, she still doesn’t seem to get it. He acts like he is going to beat her multiple times and it’s supposed to be a testament to their love that she’s not acting scared of violent threats, until he psychologically “breaks” her. The complete opposite of consenting kinky couples from the first book, if you wanted to try to look at it that way.
When the partner is abusive and “a monster”, “not the partner you fell in love with”, then comes back and grovels and works extra hard to get back in your good graces, that is NOT a HEA, it’s the cycle of abuse.
