About this audiobook
When It Comes To Temptation...
Turning his back on his old life as a rogue, Gavriel de Marqueda has joined a monastic order in Spain and taken a vow of chastity. Before he becomes a monk, he must pass one final test: help a woman who has lost her way. But when he lays eyes on Ada of Keyworth, he is tempted beyond measure by her sultry beauty and dangerous curves.
Rules Are Meant To Be Broken...
Far from her home in England, Ada has been battling inner demons for more than a year. When she discovers that her only friend has abandoned her, she has no choice but to grudgingly accept Gavriel's help. But Ada is not fooled. Though Gavriel wears the robes of a monk, Ada sees that he is a virile man who looks at her with a hunger that matches her own—one that begs to be satisfied again and again.
Editor's Note
Medieval Romance...
Lofty’s Medieval-set romances are intricately and delicately written, with flawed characters who are clearly meant for one another. “Scoundrel’s Kiss” is the romance between Gavriel de Marqueda, a rogue-turned-monk, and Ada, an opium-addicted heroine. Before he can enter the order, Gavriel is tasked with helping Ada battle her demons. Their journey takes them far, both emotionally and physically, and the romance is palpably satisfying.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A wonderfully captivating read with multi-dimensional characters that draw you into their world, their pain, their desires, their fears. Fantastic writing, compelling plot, absolutely delectable sexual tension, and a smooth, silky-voiced narrator made this irresistible. The only downside is the incredible number of mispronunciations by the narrator. It may just be an issue for perfectionists, but it pulls me out of the story when my brain stops me to say “That’s not right. Or is that maybe a British pronunciation? No. Or it’s because English isn’t the character’s native tongue? No…English character. Perhaps things were pronounced differently in that time period? No…if it was written to period, few people would understand it.” By that point I have lost a few sentences and have to rewind. Would love to have a re-listen if a corrected version is made! I will absolutely be READING more from this author!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm so glad I listened to this book. Wasn't convinced after the first one but this one was so much better.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Honestly, I loved it. There were a few moments that seemed to take longer than they should have. However, the slow burn of the romance had that lovely torturous pace that fans of romance can not get enough of.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great story about a stranger helping a woman overcome an addiction. Main characters were lovable and real. I loved the love story. Narration was very good too.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a very well written story. I could tell the author took great care to research and make the story very authentic to the time period. I do appreciate the woman being a strong and like able character unlike most romance novels where the woman is seen as timid or a complete air head. I wish there was a little bit more spicy scenes ? but it all fit well with the story and it had a very nice flow. I would definitely read more from this author. I also greatly enjoyed the narrator voice, she was able to do all the different voice and not have it be corny or weird.
