About this audiobook

Once upon a time, I met a man and he stole my heart.

In my desperation to reunite with him, I have nowhere to turn but the Sea Witch. Ursa is as beautiful as she is dangerous, and the one person my father warned me never to trust. But she’s all crimson lips and sweet lies that hint at deeper truths beneath the surface, and I’m convinced despite my fear.

It’s a simple enough plan, if not for the faint of heart. An auction to sell the one thing I possess of any value—myself. The money will free Alaric and then we can finally be together.

Except nothing is simple at all.

Ursa is playing at games I can only begin to comprehend. And Alaric? The man I thought I loved might be just as much a villain as the woman I can’t help but be drawn to.

When playing in the darkest depths of love and lust, it will be everything I can do not to drown.

Author

Katee Robert

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Katee Robert learned to tell her stories at her grandfather's knee. Her 2015 title, The Marriage Contract, was a RITA finalist, and RT Book Reviews named it "a compulsively readable book." When not writing sexy contemporary or romantic suspense, she spends her time playing imaginary games with her children, driving her husband batty with what-if questions, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

I love every other book in this series, and I have been really into all the previous narrators. But OMG the woman who voices Ursula in this book is absolutely infuriating. Her voice just irks me and makes every chapter she reads truly unpleasant. The narrators for the Ariel and Eric characters are lovely though. The story is just as hot as all the previous books though, so I’ll get through it somehow ?

I love this book just like all of the other ones but the girl who voiced Zuri just moaned the whole time it was kind of weird not gonna lie but I got through it. Other than that the book is great the ending was kind of ehhh.

The connections weren’t too believable to me. I really couldn’t get into this one…

I adore this series. I love getting to know all of the different characters through each book. This one just didn't work for me. I didn't find the romance believable. I did not like the characters and found it hard to really root for them in the relationship. I'm looking forward to reading more from Katee Robert.

I really wanted to love this book like I do the rest in the series but the voice of Ursula is simply annoying. I can't get into the story because it just seems to do too much.... The rest of the series is great.

I loved this book! The relationship between Ursa, Zuri, and Alaric was so good and also so steamy!

The three narrators did an excellent job performing this story! I thoroughly enjoyed their narration.

Not even going to sugar coat it. This book is all s3x and a sprinkle of plot. 4 stars ? lmao missing more romance. I agree with the other reviewers on the fact that the relationships didn't feel believable. But then I think about the many wlw relationships where they move in after 2 weeks of dating (haha me ??‍♀️) and then I think about the fact that Ursa and Alaric already had a relationship built on before Zuri makes her appearance, and then it does kinda map out... ? all 3 narrators were good. I enjoy Meg in all her works. Lacy and Liam were great too! POVs were very evenly written so that we got a good look into everyone's perspective. All-in-all it was a nice little addition to the wicked villians saga.

I definitely enjoyed the first 3 books a lot more, I felt like this one could have worked better as a couple without Alaric but oh well. Katee Robert at it again with amazing steamy books

Book 5 in this series, and I must say I really enjoyed this one. The plot is a little weak but character development was good and spicy as ever. Fab ?
