About this audiobook
Bull rider Adam Meyer put Devil's Falls in his rearview mirror years ago and hasn't stopped running since. Now he's back-temporarily, if he has any say about it. Restless, he finds himself kissing the sexiest girl in town . . . and agreeing to be the fake boyfriend in her little revenge scheme.
Jules Rodriguez isn't interested in the role of town spinster. Being seen with a hell raiser like Adam is the perfect way to scandalize the residents, make her ex jealous, and prove she's a sexy, desirable woman. And if their plan includes ridiculously hot sex-in public, of course-all the better.
But this thing between them has an expiration date. Putting down roots isn't in Adam's blood, and Jules's roots in Devil's Falls are bedrock deep. He'll leave, even if it rips out his heart. But this time, he's not sure he'll survive it . . .

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Foolproof Love by Katee RobertBook #1: Foolproof Love SeriesSource: AuthorMy Rating: 4½/5 starsMy Review: When Adam Meyer left Devil’s Falls after high school, he never had any attention of coming back for more than a few days at a time. Those few days were just enough to touch base with his mom, do some laundry, and move right on out to the next rodeo. Devil’s Falls holds too many hard memories and Adam never has been the settling down kind so life on the road hasn’t ever really been a hardship. Adam never intended to go home and stay until the moment his mother called with news. Though Jules Rodrigez has no intention of dying a spinster, the evidence suggests otherwise. She hasn’t dated since her last serious boyfriend unceremoniously dumped her and she owns a large number of cats. To be fair, she also owns a coffee shop where the cats live and provide fun, entertainment, and comfort to a great many of Devil’s Falls’ residents including, Jules. For the most part, Jule’s life is good, she has her best friend and her business, and a solid good girl reputation without a hint of scandal. That is, until the moment her ex waltzes back into town and Jules hatches a preposterous plan. In a moment of pure panic, Jules tells her asshole ex she is in a committed relationship and it just so happens to be with Adam Meyer. In order to sell her story, Jules walks right up Adam wraps her arms around his neck, and with nothing but a brief explanation plants the kiss of his life on him. In the coming days, Jules finds she can’t get that kiss or Adam out of her head and when he struts on into her coffee shop like he belongs there, she convinces him to continue the ruse and be her pretend boyfriend. Walking into Jules’ coffee shop shouldn’t have resulted in cat fur all over his pants and an arrangement to be a fake boyfriend. But, if he’s going to go through with this crazy scheme, and he is, Adam suggests to Jules they take the plan all the way and really scandalize the town. And by scandalize Adam means not just being seen in public, but being seen in all manner of compromising situations. You know, if you’re going to sell a story . . . .From the beginning, Adam and Jules both know the score. This is a fake relationship, Jules wants her ex put in his place, and Adam isn’t staying in town. What neither Adam nor Jules counted on is how freakin’ good they are together, fake or otherwise. Jules doesn’t want to fall for a man who’s leaving town but Adam knows how to play her body like a finely tuned instrument. Adam doesn’t want to stay in town but his mother needs him now more than ever and Jules is a powerful motivator to settle down. Trouble is, they each have to get past their own bullshit and insecurities if they’re going to give each other a proper chance. The Bottom Line: With the exception of a few loose ends that didn’t quite get tied up, I quite liked this first in the series offering by Katee Robert. It’s hard to dislike any character who owns a business that is partially devoted to rescuing cats that are allowed to mix and mingle with the customers. Jules is pure sunshine which makes her the perfect partner for Adam who is dealing with some seriously heavy issues in his personal life. Once the two actually admit to themselves how they really feel and admit their feelings to one another, the road to the HEA can finally be travelled. In so many ways, Foolproof Love is a very typical Katee Robert book and I am so very glad for that. I got exactly what I expected and wanted out of this read which means I am very much looking forward to the continuation of the series.
