Description

The plaintiff says he bought a Porsche from the defendant, but the guy’s place burned down before he could pick it up. The plaintiff claims the defendant never fixed the car like he promised to, so he’s suing. The defendant says the car was far from the fire and he had to wait for the all-clear from the fire department.
Then, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant to install an aluminum roof over his patio. He claims the guy did a lousy job because it leaks when it rains, so he’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff is his ex-girlfriend’s cousin, and she had restraining order on him after he finished building the awning. He claims he told the plaintiff he’d send a friend over to do the repairs, but the offer was refused.
Plus, the plaintiff says she bought furniture online from the defendant. She claims it was wrapped in moving blankets when she picked it up, so she didn’t discover it was damaged until she got it home. She claims she was duped and is suing for a refund. The defendant says the lightly used furniture was fine when she sold it.
