Description

Episode Notes
Dr. Caity Haniver is an avid weightlifter, weightlifting coach, and Osteopath. Caity has always been passionate about the human body & helping people maximise their potential to achieve health & performance goals.
Being in the fitness industry for over 10 years, Caity realised there was a big gap in clinicians who could work with athletes wanting to compete in sports like Weightlifting and Crossfit.
This pushed Caity to become a hybrid clinician and weightlifting coach who could offer both programming, coaching, and osteopathic care.
Caity works with many athletes to improve joint range of motion, improve technique, and provides programming to help them achieve their weightlifting goals.
Today on the podcast Caity and I talk about breathing and the pelvic floor
Here's a snapshot of what we chat about
Is there a "right way to breathe"
The 5 diaphragms and how to use them all (this was my fav bit (I didn't know we have 5 diaphragms)
Why do we have trouble breathing
Key breathing exercises to help us connect to our breath
How we engage AND relax our pelvic floor
How to breathe during movements and training
