Description
The plaintiffs were hired to dance at the defendant’s halftime show at a basketball game, but they claim they still haven’t been paid, so they’re suing for unpaid wages. The defendant, a rapper, claims she was looking for volunteer dancers, and there wasn’t any mention of payment.
Then, the plaintiff lived with two roommates, and when they moved out, she claims her former roommates fought and damaged the apartment they lived in. The plaintiff says the defendant unfairly withheld the plaintiff’s security deposit to cover her roommates’ damages, so she’s suing. The defendant claims the plaintiff was also involved with her roommates’ fights, and she stiffed him on last month’s rent. Therefore, the defendant believes he has every right to withhold her deposit.
