Description

First off, my intention before I leave here is that everybody takes at least one thing with them and there's no open loops. I will be here later than all of you, cause I'll answer every question because open loops drive me nuts and I can't sleep at night, so I'm going to make sure I get them.So whatever it is for you, one nugget, one tip, one thing you can put into your business, one thing you can share with your customers, one phone call you can make. That's what I want to share. So yesterday we were talking a lot about UGC, like user generated content. I've never done this before. I'm going to do a UGK, which is a user generated keynote. We might as well be congruent, right? So I sat down this morning and I thought through a lot of the questions that I was asked, I'm wearing Constantine's t-shirt. Because I get nervous and sweat, and apparently the silver in this shirt will make me not smell as bad in my life. My wife will love me a little bit more.So I want to know quickly and you guys can shout it out. Any burning questions, desires, things that you want covered. The common theme that I heard more than anything yesterday is thank you for making me not feel alone, because I struggle too. And I'm telling you right now that I still don't feel worthy of standing on this stage. And I think the only difference is, is that I talk faster and louder than most other people. So I don't give anybody the option to say no, and they let me keynote. How do you turn a commodity into something people are passionate about? Okay, let me write that down. Anybody else? Come on. He went first. That means you guys feel safe now. Nobody's going to get judged. So how do you take something that's a consumable or not a consumable non a consumable, like a onetime purchase, like an umbrella and then make a fan or somebody in your life around that. Because I met some umbrella people yesterday too and sit cushions. Recommendations for creating authenticity with a brand that doesn't have a face to the brand. That is an amazing one. And I'm going to cover that too. So most of the roads that things are already covered in my notes. So faceless brands, authenticity, and I don't normally take notes, but when you guys see me looking at it, cause of all the notes I took for you guys. So here's the thing. I don't wear suits. I don't do anything. Like I drink coffee and I want this to be like a massive fireside chat with everybody. So I just want to tell you guys why I'm here. I got asked yesterday a couple of times like, why do I do what I do? Why do I share what I share? And so I chose a couple of years ago, that rather than turning to drugs or alcohol or external validation or all the things that fed my insecurities, I was going to become addicted to discomfort and discomfort is me owning my story. And I'm still here to tell you that I've been doing it for a long time and I'm still sweating when I talk about being bulemia for 15 years or talking about my sexual abuse or walking into a boardroom of people that make billions of dollars a years in a hoodie with a blue Mohawk and tattoos and being like, I'm totally different than you guys, and you don't give a shit about your customers. And like, let me tell you why. And I get nervous. I get scared. I have it. I think we all have it. And I've learned in this space that everybody from the $7 billion company is down to the $70,000 a year down to, I don't even have a business idea yet. We all feel the same. The only difference is, is the people that own it and step into it are the ones that change their business, change their lives, and change their customers' lives.I keep getting that feedback. So the reason I have this energy is not because of me, because if I had it my way, I would be at home on the couch watching television completely disconnected because the feelings don't always feel good. So my why is about to be put up on the screen, a little extroversion of me. Whenever the guys in the backseat. That's my why. I le
