About this ebook

Julia never intended to cheat on her husband, Max, but when the chance came the petite redhead's way, she found confessing her indiscretions had its own advantages. It might not have been the conventional way to spice up their marriage, but it worked.

Bridy McAvoy

My name is Bridy, and I live in upstate New York. I’ve written for as long as I can remember, which is thanks to my parents for teaching me to read and write before I went to school. I’ve been fascinated by erotic tales all my adult life, my husband thinks they’re silly but indulges me. I won’t tell you how old I am because a lady never gives away her age. My other interest is photography, but writing will always be my first love, other than my husband of course.

    Julia's Affair - Bridy McAvoy

    Dedication

To everyone who helped me write this. Especially my husband who encouraged me to explore my fantasies in print.

    Julia’s Affair

Julia sighed as she crossed the car park toward where they’d left her Lexus an hour earlier. Behind her was the other side of the terminal.  She heard another set of jet engines whine into life. She wondered if that was Max’s plane, but didn’t turn around. Dropping him off was a regular occurrence, and she never watched his plane take-off. Usually his trips lasted a week or two, but this one was different.  This was a big trip to solve a big problem. It was going to take him four days to get to the site in the middle of the Amazon basin, let alone fix the problem.

She grimaced again at the thought of six weeks alone, but it was his job, and they’d both had to get used to it. Climbing into the car, she quickly reversed out of her space and headed back toward the main road. Once there it was a simple choice, straight home to an empty house or head to one of the out of town malls. No contest, retail therapy won out.

Twenty-five minutes later she parked and grabbed her purse from the passenger seat before opening her door. Since it was a Saturday, and quite hot, she’d decided on a short denim skirt, and she didn’t worry too much as she climbed from the car, there didn’t seem to be anyone close. As she shut the door, the driver’s door of the car next to her opened.

    Jules!

Nobody called her that, in fact it had been nearly ten since someone had gotten away with it. Despite assuming the deep voice was calling someone else, she glanced around just in case. Only one person had called her that, the only guy who’d got away with it in front of her mother anyway. Max never used the diminutive form of her name. That was for sure.

Jules! It is you? Wow. What a coincidence.

She turned around fully this time, and watched as the driver of the car next to hers removed his sunglasses. She gasped. That rugged face, those piercing blue eyes, and that unruly curly blond hair combined with her memory.

    Dale?

The very same. How are you, stranger?

She couldn’t help reacting. Although his voice was deeper, it was still her first proper boyfriend standing there. Ten years on, he remained exactly as she’d pictured he would. Her heart beat a little faster, and she was sure the gentle heat in her face was a blush, not the sun streaming down.

    I’m good, you?

Great. Wow, I don’t know what to say. He walked around his car and stood at the front corner of hers. He made as if to step closer, then stayed still, clearly awkward about potentially invading her space.

    Ever a touchy feely
