About this ebook

Julia never intended to cheat on her husband, Max, but when the chance came the petite redhead's way, she found confessing her indiscretions had its own advantages. It might not have been the conventional way to spice up their marriage, but it worked.

With Max out of town again, Julia has a night out with a couple of friends. At the nightclub, wearing a wrap-over skirt, she dances with a guy who wants to taste her very essence. The skirt just makes it easy for him.

Bridy McAvoy

My name is Bridy, and I live in upstate New York. I’ve written for as long as I can remember, which is thanks to my parents for teaching me to read and write before I went to school. I’ve been fascinated by erotic tales all my adult life, my husband thinks they’re silly but indulges me. I won’t tell you how old I am because a lady never gives away her age. My other interest is photography, but writing will always be my first love, other than my husband of course.

    Julia's Essence - Bridy McAvoy

    Dedication

To everyone who helped me write this. Especially my husband who encouraged me to explore my fantasies in print.

    Julia’s Essence

I’ve never seen you so engrossed in a spreadsheet before.

Julia looked up, her concentration breaking as she saw Josie grinning down at her.

I’ve been standing here for the last two minutes and you never even glanced up.

Sorry. It’s this damned report. I have to get it done for Simon for his four o’clock meeting and I can’t get the damn thing to balance.

Oh? Let me have a look.

Her friend from HR came around the desk and crouched at her side. She didn’t have Julia’s experience in sales, but was known throughout the office as the ‘go to’ girl for Excel problems. Julia started explaining the intricacies of the spreadsheet to her but Josie waved her to silence. After a minute, she slapped Julia’s hand away from the mouse so she could take control of it herself. Another couple of minutes later, after panning and zooming around the screen at a rate that left Julia feeling dizzy, she stopped and let out a yelp of triumph.

Heads popped up from nearby desks, but when they saw it was Miss Spreadsheet making the noise everyone stopped taking notice.

The problem is here. Look. You’ve carried the total down from higher up the page, but you haven’t brought the total across from the individual salesmen’s pages. Hence, it doesn’t balance.

    Thanks.

Julia grabbed her mouse back from Josie’s hand and quickly made the correction—the now blindingly obvious correction. As soon as she had the summary sheet balanced, she hit the save button.

    You’re a life saver.

    Nada.

So why did you wander over here? You’re a long way from your own department.

Aren’t I allowed to come and chat to a friend? Anyway, I wanted to find out how the patient is, and can he spare his nurse for a few hours on Friday night?

Julia sighed. The patient is fine. Getting cabin fever after four weeks cooped up in the house, but the doctor says the brace can come off for a few hours at a time next week. As long as he doesn’t try and do too much.

Max? Do too much? It’ll take more than a busted ankle form a fall on a rig to stop your husband. Hell, get that ankle brace wired on so he can’t take it off. Otherwise he’ll be back at work next week.

Over my dead body. The hospital said it was a bad fracture. He needs at least six weeks off.

So, is he the one getting cabin fever, or are you?

Julia shook her head with a rueful smile. Both.

Well, since he manages okay during the day when you’re here, do you think you can trust him to look after himself Friday evening if you come out with me and a couple of the girls for a few drinks? It’s Laine’s birthday and we said we’d go. She asked me to invite you.

    Where we going?

Well, it is amateur night at the Pussy Palace...

Julia almost choked as Josie grinned at her. It had been their
