Julia’s Blackmail

Julia dressed with care for work on Monday morning. A quick message from her husband the night before had changed his arrival time. His plane would now touch down at about six, not nine. As a result, she’d be picking him up from the airport straight after work. She wouldn’t have enough time to dash home and get changed.

Given he’d been away for over two weeks, she was looking forward to seeing him again, and she wanted to make the right impression. A taupe silk bra, panties and suspender set teamed with nude stockings and three-inch closed-toe shoes would set the right tone. She smiled as she smoothed the nylons up her legs before attaching them to the clips. Max loved her in stockings and, since he was a leg man, there was nothing more likely to get him in the mood Julia wanted him in.

The cream blouse was thin, just thin enough to give a hint of her underwear, but not translucent enough to be scandalous at work. The navy suit jacket would cover her most of the time anyway. She always wore her jacket for meetings, although she’d take it off at her desk. The skirt that paired with the jacket was a couple of inches shorter than her usual office attire but the side slit would enable her to flash a little thigh at Max as he walked through the concourse.

From the moment she’d found out he was cutting his trip short, having solved the problem on the Amazonian rig, she’d worn a smile. That smile was still present as she breezed into the office.

Good morning, Samantha.

The receptionist looked up and smiled back. Good morning, Julia. Someone looks happy. Good weekend?

Julia stepped closer to the desk and watched as Samantha’s smile wavered and fell away. The young woman had obviously remembered that Julia’s husband was on an extended trip. She put her out of her misery. Nope, but Max is flying home today. I’m picking him up after work.

Today? That’s great, but I thought you said...

He was supposed to be away for longer, but apparently it wasn’t such a big fix, after all. He called me Saturday to say he was already on the return trip.

Good on you. I thought you looked a bit dressed up. I knew we didn’t have any big clients in.

Giving him a nice surprise. She winked. Wearing my best Raeger set!

Samantha grinned. I suppose it’s less tacky than some Victoria’s split crotch stuff.

They both laughed and Julia carried on into the office, arriving a couple of minutes later at the section she managed.
