About this ebook

Julia never intended to cheat on her husband, Max, but when the chance came the petite redhead's way, she found confessing her indiscretions had its own advantages. It might not have been the conventional way to spice up their marriage, but it worked.

When Julia's neighbor Grace, and her husband, Bill, seem to be having a lot of rows about silly little things, Julia steps in, determined to help. What she didn't expect was to find Bill making a move on her while Grace is passed out after too much wine

Bridy McAvoy

My name is Bridy, and I live in upstate New York. I’ve written for as long as I can remember, which is thanks to my parents for teaching me to read and write before I went to school. I’ve been fascinated by erotic tales all my adult life, my husband thinks they’re silly but indulges me. I won’t tell you how old I am because a lady never gives away her age. My other interest is photography, but writing will always be my first love, other than my husband of course.

    Julia's Guidance - Bridy McAvoy

    Dedication

To everyone who helped me write this. Especially my husband who encouraged me to explore my fantasies in print.

    Julia’s Guidance

Julia pulled her car into her side of the double garage and switched the engine off. As soon as she opened the car door she could hear raised voices.

    You are a frigid bitch!

Listen, mister premature, don’t call me names!

    I’m going to work!

Then get in the car and fuck off!

She heard a car door slam, then a moment later a car engine started up and over-revved as it backed off the drive and disappeared up the road with a screech of tires.

Julia tiptoed to the open garage door and looked out, able to see her neighbor standing there, arms folded across her chest, glaring up the road. Grace shook herself and focused on Julia for the first time. She sighed and then offered a wan smile.

Sorry you had to hear that.

    No worries. Everyone argues.

    You and Max don’t.

Believe me, we do. I guess we’re just that little bit better at keeping it private.

    Sorry.

Julia shrugged. Don’t think about it. In fact, why don’t you come over for a coffee and a chat?

Grace smiled. It would be nice to have someone intelligent to talk to rather than that moron. Are you sure you don’t mind?

    Wouldn’t have offered otherwise.

    Shouldn’t you be at work?

Julia shook her head. Took the day off so I could take Max to catch his lunchtime flight, then the little shit switched to an earlier one. Too late to change plans, so I’ve got the day off. Come on. I’ll put the machine on. I need a coffee after the morning traffic around the airport.

    Busy?

    Like you wouldn’t believe.

Grace looked down at her rather ragged housecoat, then seemed to realize she was out on the front step of her house in something that wasn’t really fit to be seen in. Give me fifteen minutes?

Sure. Knock on the back door. I’ll be in the kitchen.

    See you then.

    * * * *

It was nearer half an hour than the promised fifteen minutes before Grace, her neighbor for almost a year, knocked on the kitchen door. Julia waved her inside and continued rinsing the lettuce for her lunchtime salad.

Sorry. When I got inside, I realized I needed a shower as well.

No prob. Coffee’s in the machine, freshly made once I got inside. Mugs are in the cupboard above the machine, creamer in the silver tin next to it. Do you take sugar?

    Nope.

Good girl. Make yourself one while I finish up here, okay?

Julia watched as Grace made herself a coffee. She could see the other woman was still upset, and although she’d offered a shoulder to cry on, she didn’t want to intrude.

Once she’d finished with the lettuce, she dried her hands and, moving over to the breakfast bar, perched on one of the stools opposite Grace.
