About this ebook

Julia never intended to cheat on her husband, Max, but when the chance came the petite redhead's way, she found confessing her indiscretions had its own advantages. It might not have been the conventional way to spice up their marriage, but it worked.

With Max interested in Julia's affairs, their sex life has developed a real spark. She thinks it's time for Max to assert himself, although he's happy to let her have her independence.

Bridy McAvoy

My name is Bridy, and I live in upstate New York. I’ve written for as long as I can remember, which is thanks to my parents for teaching me to read and write before I went to school. I’ve been fascinated by erotic tales all my adult life, my husband thinks they’re silly but indulges me. I won’t tell you how old I am because a lady never gives away her age. My other interest is photography, but writing will always be my first love, other than my husband of course.

    Julia's Independence - Bridy McAvoy

    Dedication

To everyone who helped me write this. Especially my husband who encouraged me to explore my fantasies in print.

    Julia’s Independence

When Julia opened her eyes that morning, she found Max facing her, watching her. She smiled and stretched as she woke, noticing other things: the sunlight streaming through the curtains, the smell of coffee from the bedside table, and as she slowly focused properly, the clock reading ten a.m.

    Good morning.

He leaned in close and planted a fleeting kiss on the tip of her nose. That was when she realized he was on top of the covers rather than under them with her. He was also dressed, at least as far as a T-shirt was concerned. As Max never slept in a shirt, she lifted her head from the pillow to look down the bed. Sure enough, he had jeans on.

    What?

    Nothing, baby. Nothing at all.

So why didn’t you wake me?

He grinned at her. Why wake you? It’s Saturday. Nothing to get up for.

So why did you get up?

So as not to disturb you, silly. You’ve had a hell of a week. I let you rest. It does you good to be lazy for once.

I don’t want to be lazy. She shifted in the bed, squirming up toward the headboard, not quite sitting, not quite lying down. Her red hair fanned over the pillow. Julia gave her husband what she hoped was a speculative look and let the sheet slip down a little, exposing the swell of the top of her breasts. Max seemed to take no notice, pointing past her to the bedside from where the seductive aroma of coffee originated.

    Coffee, before it gets cold.

Spoilsport. She part rolled onto her side to grab the mug and then rolled back, making sure the sheet slipped all the way off her right breast, exposing it to him. The nipple was slightly swollen, not quite hard but not lying flat either. She watched as his eyes were drawn to her deliberately exposed breast, and he unconsciously licked his lips. Pleased she’d drawn a response, she sat up more. She brought her knees up at the same time, trapping the sheet between her chest and her knee, keeping the rest of her naked body covered.

So what do you want to do today, darling? She giggled. Apart from make love to me, which is your stock answer to that question.

No. It’s only my stock answer when we’re on our own and, if you remember, we’ve got somewhere to be today.

Julia groaned. The barbeque next door had been something she’d tried hard to forget about. Grace and Bill had, however, been persistent, even insisting that the pair of them went around for a meal. It was a thank you for getting Grace her job interview. Grace had settled in well in the three weeks she’d been working for the accounts team under Tom,
