About this ebook
Patrick is a young man who has gone through and experienced so much in his life. He's finally at a place where he's no longer listening to what the world tells him and he goes into therapy. He opens his mind and heart up to a therapist named Dr. Steven Grand. Patrick starts to share a lot of what he deals with daily in his life along with his childhood that has led to where he is currently.
As Patrick begins sharing some of the deepest thoughts of his life, Dr. Steven Grand gives insight into how his childhood has affected him as an adult. Patrick not only begins to learn about himself and who he is, but his way of thinking and how certain childhood events and experiences have shaped him into who he is currently. The healing process and normalizing therapy for men in today's world has become imperative. The last book of the series is an important subject that needs to be talked about more. The time is now to allow men to talk about their internal struggles and experiences. It will allow men to find healthy ways to deal with their emotions and allow us to make better decisions and have better mental health…

Introduction
This is my story, my name is Patrick and I’m going into therapy,
There’s a lot that I’ve experienced in my life and it’s time I get the help I need.
I’m dealing with depression, anxiety, uncertainty with my life,
There’s so much on my shoulders and it’s mentally draining.
There’s a need for clarity and understanding myself more,
While it’s great to do internal work within yourself, sometimes you need a different perspective from a professional.
I’ve been fighting getting the professional help that I need for years,
The denial has been there as I’ve always said a man doesn’t need therapy.
A man doesn’t need help to get his mind, body and soul right,
That therapy is for those who are weak-minded.
It’s the stigmas of what society has told me for most of my life,
Until I started seeing and realizing there are so many men like me struggling.
There are men going to therapy to keep their minds right,
To keep their spirits good, to keep their lives in perspective.
My therapy sessions will be broken down into seven sessions,
To allow you to learn about me, my story and understand what I deal with from day to day.
My therapist will be Dr. Steven Grand who I’ve done research on and looked at reviews,
I felt comfortable with a male therapist as he may have experience or is experiencing the same things I am.
This will not be easy for me as I have to open up to a stranger,
I’m closed off because of life experiences but that dynamic is about to change immensely.
I don’t love the idea of being open and vulnerable but this is my reality,
After seeing some of my favorite athletes and people I look up to talk about therapy, it’s changed my perspective.
Watching it on television, they script it a certain way,
It’s not necessarily sitting on couches and talking about your feelings.
It’s deeper than that after speaking with friends about it,
They told me to wipe out whatever I’ve seen on television shows.
It’s a whole different perspective when you start to talk about your life,
It will be challenging and it will take a lot to trust someone else with your life story.
Dr. Grand has over 10 years of experience treating people from all walks of life,
Which is comforting to me and I’m glad that he will listen intently and not judge.
His perspective will be more of understanding the human mind,
Not necessarily what he feels or his opinions which is what I need.
Let’s be mindful that I have 30 years of my life to talk about,
While seven sessions won’t be enough, these will be important to share.
I’m recording all of this on my part and also allowing
