Teresa Morrow

Teresa began her life as a symbol of inspiration; born under special circumstances weighing a little over one pound compounded with severe heart issues. She overcame these medical obstacles surprising the doctors by living beyond their projected life span of twenty-four hours. Later, in her teens, she was introduced to the world of writing when she submitted a poem for creative writing class which got selected in the school yearbook. Her professional background has expanded from working with family business to Fortune 500 companies as an executive assistant. This led her to start her own virtual administrative business, Key Business Partners, in 2007. Following an internal sense of purpose she turned that enterprise into an online book promotional company that has helped numerous authors share their personal messages with others. At 40, this native Floridian’s true life purpose came to the forefront. As an inspirational writer, author and poet, this author of Life Lessons from the Heart (2012 Smashwords) is an advocate for women who want to realize and celebrate their own uniqueness. She serves as a reminder that one’s true purpose can be experienced every day. Teresa showcases her passion through her writing to help empower women.

    INTRODUCTION

This book initially came to me after my husband’s heart attack and then subsequent surgery for peripheral artery disease in his legs in the summer of 2011.

I wanted to share the lessons I learned from the experience of going through this medical issue with my husband. Then I began to think about other things I have learned throughout my life so far, such as my mom’s death, my dad disapproval of my dating a man from a different race and also realizing importance of self-care when caring for a loved one.

I wanted to offer these lessons in written form as I am a lover of words. And I have always learned a lot from others’ experiences. My mission for this book is to provide hope and inspiration to others. I wanted to help others realize the important lessons life has to share with us every day and how you can learn and grow from these little gems. I am grateful for those things that happened in my life because they have led me to where I am today.

At the age of 40 I discovered my true life purpose to be an inspiration through my writing by help others realize their uniqueness and honor the experiences in their life. I wish for you to grow from these life lessons and share them so they might help others.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I first and foremost want to thank the creator, God, Spirit, Universe by which all things are possible.

To my biological mom, Betty, who I wish I got to know better in this life, but whom I know watches over me and has guided me throughout my life. I miss you and love you mommie!

To my step mom, Shirley, to and for whom I am forever grateful that you came into my life. I want to thank you because without you, I don’t know where I would be today. You came into our life just when we needed you (my brother and sister and I) to nurture and guide us even when you already had 4 kids of your own. Whom I still consider my mom…no step involved.

To my dad, I want to thank you for agreeing to disagree at times and allowing me to teach you a thing or two about opening your heart.

To my amazing daughter Amanda. Being your mom has given me the greatest joy as I watch you grow up to become the beautiful soul you were meant to show to the world.

To my love, Eddie. Thank you for showing me how to love. Thank you for being there for me while I found out what it meant to really love myself so I could truly love you as you deserve. Thank you for encouraging me to become a better person just by being around you. I love you forever!

To my devoted friends – Jenn Givler, Karen Pierce Gonzalez, Elena Jones, Arielle Giordano, for whom I was allowed to share my fears, dreams, ideas and hopes along my path to finding my true life purpose. I appreciate you!

To life purpose coach Tina Games, who allowed me to join her Moonlight Muse Café which was the catalyst to finding my true life purpose. I honor you dear Tina.
