Hanging in the entryway of Drew Barrymore’s home is a neon sign created from her own handwriting that reads, “Timing is everything.”
Over the years, as she evolved from child star to actress, producer, entrepreneur (her businesses under the Flower umbrella encompass films, beauty, eyewear, home decor, kids’ items and, soon, hair tools) and mum to two daughters, Olive, 7, and Frankie, 6, with ex-husband Will Kopelman, 42, Barrymore, 45, has done it all with a firm belief in a “universal clock that we can’t control”, she says. “I’ve never had things handed to me; I love to create the opportunities.”
