About this ebook

I wanted answers as an adult. I was angry, afraid, passive yet yearning to feel whole. So I researched child abuse, conducted in college and through reading: Growing up isn’t easy for any child without having to live with being abused. A child having to live with such an array of psychological problems makes it that much harder. The adults who do survive this ordeal are likely to have a hard time fitting into society.

In my research of child abuse, the removal of the child, or even the stopping of abuse with family therapy is not enough; the emotional damage is done. It is not reversible though getting help can sway the negative emotions into positive ones, but this is a long process. Psychologists suggest therapy for person who has been
