SHOULD I BREAK MY PROMISE TO MY MOTHER?

Q I had a carefree childhood until the onslaught of Covid. My father, who had an excellent, high-paying job, died of the disease and my mother also contracted Covid, which has left her with health problems such as often being fatigued, having breathing difficulties and chronic coughing.

The result is that my mother is barely hanging on to her job. She often feels so ill she only just makes it to work and back.

I have two siblings and I am the middle child.
