Kendra Lynne is a High school special education teacher, travel agent, and the Founder of the nonprofit Her Faith Ministry which can be found on Facebook. She is dedicated in helping others have a personal relationship with God and understanding his word through her book, online ministries and teachings. Kendra has received a Bachelors of Arts in Justice Studies, a Masters of Arts in Teaching Special Education and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Education in School Counseling program. INTRODUCTION

We all have moments when we feel lonely. But, have you ever felt you were all alone — as though no one understood you or empathized with you — and you had to figure everything out all for yourself? Has this realization lead you to keep your thoughts and feelings hidden because it was easier than explaining to people who just don’t get you — and probably never will?

While it’s okay to not want to explain yourself, everyone needs someone they can talk to. For me, God is that person. There have been times when I’ve allowed someone in, someone I could trust and confide in, but often, I had no one. I would cry myself to sleep wishing for someone who would listen and understand, and just be there for me. I didn’t realize God was there with me, wanting to be the one I confided in and trusted with my life.

I have to wonder if I’d always had someone in my life I could share with, would I have come to realize God was there for me in every way? He wants to be our first — our go to person. Once we have mastered depending on Him, He will send us someone else to lean on — not to replace Him, but to be an extension of His love.

Don’t allow your present feelings, emotions, and situations to dictate your future. Just because you don’t have your heart’s desires today, doesn’t mean you won’t have them tomorrow. Be patient. God sees you. He hears you. He mourns with you. He wants you to have the desires of your heart.

This book’s purpose is to help others who may be lost and feel that God is nowhere to be found. It is filled with many stories of my life and may trigger some emotions in you. Just know that healing takes time, and
