MAKING UP FOR LOST TIME

My name is Haley, and I am 18 years old. As a child, I grew up in a devout Christian family, but didn’t get along well in school. I was reserved and never wanted to ask questions in class when I didn’t understand something. I started failing in middle school, just scraping by with Cs or Ds, and spending my summers in summer school trying to catch up. At this point, I wasn’t even trying in class and lived with the guilt of not applying myself.
