About this ebook

When it comes to success, studies have shown that self-control is more important than the amount of education or ambition you have. It is difficult to change the amount of self-control you have throughout your lifetime — but fortunately, with some effort and a little knowledge of neuroscience, it’s possible to make a dramatic difference in your willpower.

In The Self-Control Workout, an audio course from Scribd Coach, Stresscoach founder and positive psychology educator Manuel Kraus explains how you can hack your willpower to boost your self-control and accomplish your goals. In the course, Kraus offers a relevant definition of “self-control,” ways you can exercise your willpower muscle, the neuroscience behind willpower, how to identify errors in your thinking, and more. He also shares exercises along the way so you can put what you’ve learned into practice.

Robust, far-reaching, and evidence-based, Kraus’s course is ideal for anyone who wants to develop a thorough understanding of willpower and maximize their self-control.

Was quite easy to get through with some great information and simple exercises to implement. Was a little disappointed to find no further reading or resource recommendations as promised in the last lesson.

Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for joining us today. I’m Manuel Kraus, and this is the The Self-Control Workout: Learn to Flex Your Willpower, another invaluable course from Scribd. If you’re as ready as I am to learn how to forge an iron will that will benefit almost every aspect of your life, let’s get started!

If you had double the amount of self-control that you have right now, imagine what you could accomplish! Our self-control affects almost every part of our lives.
