"Tadka is Shafu’s first recipe book and is dedicated to her late mother, Ms.Usha Mahajan. This book is a collection of recipes created over several years by her loved mother. Shafu has further tried and tested these recipes, looking for the minutest details of taste, with the aid of simple methods and ingredients for the preparation. Therefore, she edited, formatted, and compiled it into this book.

Shafu is a homemaker who studied Home science which helped her develop her passion for cooking since she has continuously been experimenting with a variety of recipes over the past few years. Her mother has really helped to develop her basic culinary skills, as she would often stand and observe her mother as a child. According to Shafu, her mother has passed on to her a love and determination to keep the family table heaven laden.

Tadka aims at laying out an ensemble of simple and exotic foods in the most flexible, simple and coherent way possible. It is highly recommended for those who value the art of cooking in their everyday lives. Through this book, Shafu hopes to pass her mother’s skill and recipes to her readers and share with them the knowledge she has gained looking at these recipes. She believes that without the tremendous contribution of her mother, this book wouldn’t be published."
