About this ebook

My View... is a simple collection of poems that depict the thoughts, ideas and stories of the world around me, the world I see.  We live in a world that talks to us daily.  I decided to listen and put what I've heard into this book.

    My View... - Dwight Carter

    Baby Mama, Daddy’s Drama

You tell your child how much you love them,

She takes it as you turning the child against her.

You are respectful and civil to the child’s mother

But she takes it as you still love and want her.

You make plans one weekend to go out of town

And she tells the child, for them you are too busy

Your child tells you what she said

And you think, She isn’t doing this is she?

She complains about other women being around your child

And the things your child might see.

    You overlook her foolish thoughts

Cause with you, in good hands your child will be.

She brings unwanted drama to your life

Just to make you feel her hate for you.

Its strange how one mistake can cause such pain

To someone whose love was once so true.

    You breathe in and exhale.

Your approach is to be calm and understanding

She listens but takes one word, twists it

And now your whole conversation is unraveling.

You are willing to kill all of the drama.

But she enjoys the role of not being your child’s mother

Instead she accepts the title of baby mama.

So this goes out to all you men who do handle your business

Don’t worry about that little thing called drama

Don’t let a woman’s scorn ruin a blessing that you have been
