      I was crossing the convention floor, dodging clumps of people and dropped trash, when I saw the girl.

      She was at a booth belonging to some company I'd never heard of, helping to run the demos for interested people. She was the sort of punk chick who tries to look all tough and hardcore, only to have the effort defeated by a cute face and a hot body. She was pale, with short blonde hair with purple streaks. She was wearing tight black jeans with rips over the knees, a studded belt, and a black band t-shirt. She wore a beat up leather jacket that was so cliche punk rock it was almost funny. She completed the look with spiked wristbands and piercings in her nose and lower lip.

      I watched her for a few minutes, pretending to shoot photos for the tech blog I worked for. The company must have hired her just because she looked hip. She obviously wanted nothing to do with the people coming to her booth, and barely stopped short of brushing them off when they asked her a question. But she did seem to know the product.
