Jamie returned to full awareness as the dawn light filtered through her covered windows. The night was over. She was human again for another few hours.

She wondered what had happened last night. She'd arranged for Heather, who had become something of a rival, to stow away on the little woodland retreat that Aaron and his pack took at this time every month. She supposed Heather would be turned to a werewolf too now. Or dead, which would be a little harsh even for Jamie. But she figured they had probably fucked her. The whole pack. And that would certainly have turned her.

Maybe being covered in fur and barely self-aware a few days out of every month would teach the bitch some humility.

Jamie rose from the partly shredded blanket she had apparently fallen asleep on as a werewolf. It was covered with thick black hairs, which was a little gross. She wondered why all of the wolf hair that had been on her body had gone away, but everything she had shed remained. But there was little point in applying logic to shapeshifting.

She threw open the curtains and stood there for a moment, taking in the scent of the morning and letting the sun warm her naked body. Then she turned around and saw the incredibly massive
