Marie's first year of college had barely started, but she already knew it was going to be crazy.

Not that the college itself was that unusual. In fact, it wasn't exceptional in the least. Its claim to fame was being the one college in the state that everyone who couldn't get into anywhere else went to. Couldn't might not be the right way to put it. Many of its students, like her, just lacked ambition.

She'd had a reputation in high school. Not as a bad girl, or a slut, or an overachiever, or anything interesting at all. She was a geek. She had, fortunately, gotten over her anime phase a couple of years ago, but her interests in tabletop gaming, video games, and cult movies were still going strong. Needless to say, there weren't a lot of girls that shared her particular interests. She had found herself mostly surrounded by boys.

That could've been interesting, and might have earned her one of those more interesting reputations. But the boys were all far too passive, almost all of them the type who thought that being a supportive nice guy was the way to her heart. She preferred her vibrator.

At least most of them had stopped being intimidated by her. By the time high school was over, she almost felt like she could be herself around them.

Which was why, when a solid group of her friends had decided on this college, she'd gone with them. They got themselves assigned to the same floor of the same dorm, and over the summer, they'd made their plans for movie nights in the common room, video game tournaments, and all manner of nonstop geek-style partying.

There was one complication: these dorms didn't have mixed floors. They all agreed that was dumb, and the boys began negotiating some complicated arrangement amongst themselves of requesting a single room, tripling up in double rooms, and so forth, all to achieve the end result of secretly granting her a single-size room to herself on their floor. It was a hell of a lot of trouble, but a lot of them still had a sort of geek girl worship thing going on. That didn't impress her, but it was sometimes convenient.

Of course, it wasn't quite ideal. The single room was in an awkward place, right off the corner of the common room, and not down a hall like the other rooms. It was a bit public. But she'd just have to be careful.

Officially, she was supposed to be living in another building entirely. Her supposed roommate was one of her few female friends, who was ecstatic to learn that she would probably be the only one in the room for the whole year. So that was settled.

The other part of the plan was not getting caught. During the day, this was easy; anyone could come and go as they liked. At night, it got a little trickier, and she had to make sure that no one noticed there was a girl on the boys' floor. Her brilliant plan was to keep her blonde hair somewhat short and wear a loose hoodie to hide her not-particularly-large breasts. She hoped no one would be paying much attention.

The first few days were amazing. They got themselves moved in, set up their game systems in the common room, and set about growing fat on cafe food. Everything was ramen and movie nights. No one questioned her presence there, and at night, she'd sneak into her unofficial room and collapse into bed without anyone bothering her.

The only tricky part was showering. The floor had one place to shower, and it was a room of four stalls with only a thin plastic curtain for privacy. She was still trying to work around the boys' routines, as she was sure that at least a couple of them wouldn't mind getting a peek. She showered with one paranoid eye on the curtain, and she made sure to stick her head out and look both ways before venturing out for her towel. Then she'd hurry to dry off and get
